Al Hilal have reached an agreement with West Ham United to sign former Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville in a deal worth around £68 million, according to The Athletic.
Summerville enjoyed a memorable four-year spell at Elland Road, making 89 senior appearances and contributing 38 goal involvements. His standout campaign came during the 2023/24 season, when he was named the EFL Championship Player of the Season after scoring 17 league goals and providing eight assists.
Despite his outstanding individual performances, Leeds narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Southampton in the Championship Play-Off Final. Following the conclusion of that season, Summerville completed a £25 million move to West Ham United.
The Dutch winger first arrived at Leeds from Feyenoord in September 2020, initially joining the club's Under-23 squad. He quickly impressed with his technical ability and attacking flair, earning his senior debut on 17 September 2021 in a 1-1 Premier League draw away to Newcastle United. Summerville replaced Raphinha in the 67th minute at St James' Park, marking the beginning of his first-team journey.
He continued to establish himself during the 2022/23 campaign, making 28 Premier League appearances before enjoying his breakthrough season the following year.
Unfortunately for Leeds United, the club will not benefit financially from Summerville's move to Saudi Arabia. According to The Yorkshire Evening Post's Graham Smyth, Leeds did not negotiate a sell-on clause as part of his transfer to West Ham, meaning they will receive no fee from the £68 million deal.
