Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar storage technologies Leeds Zone uses, and the choices you have over them.

Essential storage

We store one item in your browser to remember whether you prefer light or dark mode. This is strictly necessary for the site to display the way you’ve set it up, doesn’t track you across other sites, and doesn’t require consent under UK/EU cookie law.

If you sign in to our admin area (staff only), we set a session cookie so you stay logged in. This isn’t set for ordinary visitors browsing the site.

Advertising cookies

We don’t currently run advertising on Leeds Zone. Once we enable Google AdSense, Google and its advertising partners will set cookies to deliver and measure ads, which may include personalising ads based on your browsing. At that point we’ll show a consent banner before any advertising cookie is set, and you’ll be able to accept or decline non-essential cookies and change your choice at any time. You can find out more about how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Controlling cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Since essential storage is required for the site to function as intended, blocking it may mean your theme preference isn’t remembered between visits — everything else on the site will still work.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page whenever the cookies we use change — most notably when advertising goes live.
