Joel Piroe is on course to return to full training within the next two weeks after suffering a calf strain, Leeds United head coach Daniel Farke has confirmed.

The Netherlands international, who leads Leeds' scoring charts this season with 11 Premier League goals, has been working alongside the club's medical staff at Thorp Arch throughout the recovery process.

'Joel is progressing well and doing everything right in his rehabilitation,' Farke told reporters. 'We are not going to rush him back, but the timeline looks positive for the final stretch of the season.'

Mateo Joseph has deputised in Piroe's absence, scoring twice in the striker's four-match layoff, giving Farke a genuine selection dilemma once his first-choice number nine is available again.
