Leeds United twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Manchester City at Elland Road on Saturday, a result that further underlines Daniel Farke's side's credentials in their first season back in the Premier League.

Erling Haaland opened the scoring inside twelve minutes, latching onto a City through-ball to slot past Illan Meslier. Leeds responded well, and Wilfried Gnonto levelled midway through the first half with a driven finish from the edge of the box.

Phil Foden restored City's lead just after the hour mark, and for long periods it looked as though Leeds would leave empty-handed. But substitute Brenden Aaronson combined superbly with Ao Tanaka in the 89th minute, the Japan international finishing calmly to send Elland Road into delirium.

The point takes Leeds to 54 points from 34 matches, keeping alive their hopes of a top-half finish in their first season back among the elite.
